Les Verrières
Studio Residency in Pont-Aven

France

Deadline: 31 October 2013

The municipality of Pont-Aven welcomes collaborative groups, fine artists and art critics of all nationalities in order to facilitate their artistic and research projects. The goal is to support artists in the development, research and communication of contemporary art concepts.

Depending on availability, The Verrières can accommodate artists working collaboratively from January through May. Individual artists and critics are welcome all year-round. The length of the residency can vary from one to five months, consecutive or not, and two to six months for individual artists, consecutive or not, depending on availability. A residency can be renewed by the artist one time, upon approval of the selection committee. Collaborative interdisciplinary projects can be pursued as research or actual productions related specifically to the residency. The application form must be specific concerning the proposed work and the process to be used by the individuals or collaborators. Actual productions are not required, but a file detailing how the project was accomplished must be submitted at the end of the residency. During the residency, each artist (or group) must present their work to an adult audience or to school groups accompanied by monitors.

The total budget available is 1,466 euros per resident.

Studio information:
