13 September – 3 November 2012

Christian Jankowski’s Monument To The Bourgeois Working Class is currently on view at Galerie Klosterfelde in Berlin. Originally created for the artist’s previous exhibition at the Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros (SAPS) in Mexico City (Feb–April 2012), Monument To… consists mainly of three work: a video projection, a photographic series and a large-scale sculpture which result from a number of artistic strategies that Jankowski frequently uses. These are interventions into the productive processes witnessed on other people, involving various actors and institutions. Jankowski also attempts to question culturally enshrined myths and to destabilize fixed positions and ideas, which is the significant aspect of this exhibition.
